Maserati is a luxury car brand known for its high-performance sports cars, luxury sedans, and SUVs. It is a brand that is often associated with speed, power, and elegance. When I was asked about my experience working with Maserati, I must say it was an exciting and fulfilling experience.

I had the opportunity to work with Maserati during the time when the company was undergoing a significant transition. The U.S. headquarters were moving from New Jersey to Auburn Hills, Michigan, where I currently reside. As part of the transition team, I was tasked with managing the treasury function and overseeing the financial reporting for the dealer network of about 130 to 135 dealers across the U.S. and Canada.

Being part of the team that was involved in the transition was an incredible experience. Every week, we would travel to New Jersey to assist with the move. It was a lot of hard work, but we had a great team that was up for the challenge. We were also able to have some fun along the way, visiting New York City every week, which was a great way to unwind after a busy workweek.

Working for Maserati was a newer industry for me. Even though I have lived and worked in Detroit my whole life, I had very little direct experience in the automotive industry. However, I quickly learned the ropes and enjoyed the experience of being involved in a different industry.

My role involved managing the treasury function and overseeing the dealer financial reporting. This included monitoring the financials of the dealerships, ensuring profitability, and reviewing revenue figures. It was a lot of work, but I found it rewarding to see the impact of our efforts on the company's financials.

In summary, working with Maserati was an incredible experience. It was challenging, exciting, and fulfilling. Being part of the team that was involved in the company's transition to its new headquarters was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I enjoyed working in a new industry and was able to learn a lot from my colleagues. Overall, my experience with Maserati was positive, and I will always look back on my time with the company fondly.
